Industrial Power Systems Ltd supply the full range of Jenbacher spark plugs suitable for Jenbacher Series 2 & 3 series engines:

Jenbacher 208

Jenbacher 212

Jenbacher 216

Jenbacher 312

Jenbacher 316

Jenbacher 320

Maximum efficiency on Jenbacher Series 3 engines is guaranteed by long service intervals, low fuel consumption and excellent engine design (Jenbacher is a naturally designed gas engine, not a converted diesel engine).

Features & Benefits

  • Two-stage mixture cooling gives greater flexibility.
  • Mixture at low gas pressures due to specially designed supercharger.
  • Extreme operating conditions balanced by turbocharger bypass
  • Fits neatly into a 40-foot container

Jenbacher Series 4

Jenbacher 420

The Jenbacher Series 4 engine has a power range of 1.5 MW and impresses with its high capacity rate and outstanding fuel and electrical efficiency. Maximum reliability and availability is ensured by a unique designed control and monitoring system resulting in preventive maintenance.

Features & Benefits

  • High efficiency
  • High-tech components maximise reliability
  • Maximum reliability due to improved component design
  • Engine designed with servicing in mind
  • Operation at higher air intake temperature and altitude is possible due to higher rated turbocharger

Jenbacher Series 6

Jenbacher 612

Jenbacher 616

Jenbacher 620

Jenbacher 624

The Jenbacher Series 6 engine offers excellent reliability in the 1.7 to 3 MW power range. High capacity rate and low installation costs are an asset of this engine which has a speed of 1500 RPM. Maximum efficiency with low emissions is achieved by the design of its pre-combustion chamber. The first major service is at 60,000 hours.

Features & Benefits

  • Extreme operating conditions balanced by turbocharger bypass
  • High output density at 1500rpm
  • Long cylinder head life is guaranteed by dry exhaust manifold
  • Maximum efficiency is ensured by specially designed pre-chamber combustion
  • Knocking control offers the best protection

Champion pioneered the use of iridium in aviation and industrial spark plugs in the early 1970s. Now iridium, which has a stabilising effect on ignition voltage and excellent wear characteristics, is quickly becoming the technology of choice for engine manufacturers worldwide.

Champion iridium spark plugs offer maximum performance regardless of engine or ignition type. Each plug has an extremely fine-wire iridium centre electrode that is a laser-locked™ to the centre electrode, and a platinum V-trimmed ground electrode to ensure the longest life and greatest erosion resistance. Champion iridium plugs come with the Heat-Active alloy to reach operating temperatures quickly and maintain stable operating temperatures under varying engine loads. Champion iridium plugs deliver a consistently focused spark that provides the greatest engine performance regardless of engine type or ignition system.

Champion Platinum Power Spark Plugs

Champion Platinum Power spark plugs use a platinum pad welded to a nickel alloy centre electrode for long life. The advantage of this design is that platinum has extremely good wear characteristics and can reduce gap growth.

Because Champion Platinum Power plugs maintain proper gaps, the voltage needed to fire the spark plug remains consistent, reducing the chance of misfire. Spark scavenging is kept to a minimum by combining a thin-wire centre electrode with a V-trimmed ground electrode.

The electrodes use the Heat-Active alloy to reach operating temperatures quickly and maintain stable operating temperatures under varying engine loads.

Platinum Power plugs can be used as replacements for engines originally equipped with standard nickel/copper spark plugs. They can also be used as a direct replacement on many late-model OE coil-on-plug engines.

Champion Double Platinum Power Spark Plugs

Champion Double-Platinum Power spark plugs have platinum on both the centre and ground electrodes. The centre electrode is platinum fine wire that is riveted onto the nickel alloy centre electrode. The ground electrode has a platinum pad welded to its surface.

Using platinum on both the centre and ground electrodes provides longer life and minimal wear. In addition, Champion™ fine-wire and V-trimmed electrodes create sharper spark focus than conventional plugs. The electrodes on these plugs use the Heat-Active alloy to reach operating temperatures quickly and maintain stable operating temperatures under varying engine loads.

This plug design is widely used for a distributorless ignition with a waste spark design.
